ive got perches in mine where the young bird will be ... Both. The perches that you can turn into boxes are ideal. |

| think it depends on how you intend racing the ybs, most popular for normal yb racing is perches and if they pair up the fancier sometimes puts a bowl on the floor to let them lay which will encourage them to home quicker....there are some fanciers who specialise in yb racing and could maybe put them onto widowhood/roundabout in which case they will be flown to nestboxes..... |

| yes ian, im going to put my ybs on the dark but ive been advised that it would be possible to also fly them widowhood/roundabout.......which would maybe get some good results when racing. |

| i known members you have split youngens cocks and hens and flashed them before basketing , and have flown well this is like widowhood , but i havent the time as it takes twice as long morning and night |

a guy in our club do it and he do real well. he also race his ybs to ybs in nest |

| ive 16 boxes just big enough for nest bowl, a 16 block perches, and v perches but wont be breeding y/bs |
