yes its good stuff frank and its a powder no need to spray its also food grade so wont harm the birds .....if you can go to a farm or chicken supplies outlet you will get it much cheaper ,it kills mites,lice,worms,and worm eggs

i get mine from a farm supplies outlet david but they do sell it in the big pet stores although more exspensive i only sprinkle it around the nest boxes and under the nest felt

I was told to be careful not to get anything other than food grade. They make some por swimming pool filter that is not good for animals. Als you are not supposed to breath any of the dust in.

yes thats it david and all the stuff sold at farm outlets or pet shops is food grade i dont know about ponds and stuff a crushed diatom is what it is also that outlet seems mighty exspensive i seen it at my local pet shop at that price for 500 grams and have seen it in budgie magazines for a tenner for 2.5 killos the thing is with this stuff its active for as long as its there ,some might say its exspensive but not compaired to sprays and the like no way and its chemical free Smile

diatom earth best i have used for redmite
got mine from a chicken farm i was working at
30 quid for a 5 litre bucket had it 3 years now and not used half and most of that was given away
