hi chad, sorry to hear this........firstly due to my own experrience ill tell you that an eggbound hen isnt something which can be sorted easily.........if the hen has been like this for quite some time the muscles become paralised making it impossible for the hen to pass the egg.
what i did was to inject with a syringe any sort of oil, ie wheatgerm or oliv oil up the vents when the egg should be, also hold the bird over warm steam from a pan of water.........you will need to keep doing this every 10 mins or so.
i have been told also to put this mix down the throat, but didnt try this method.
if all fails then you must get a syringe with the needle fixed on, and put it up the birds vents into the egg, puncuring the shell.........when you have done this draw the yolk into the syringe and the shell will crumple and reduce in size, the bird will then pass this naturally...........
im sorry to say all my attempts failed, and the hen died, its just a risk you have to take as the hen would die if left anyway.
hope this helps chad
