nice one gary, now we can see who is prepared to stand up against this presicution of our pigeons................

It's a poor show, when you actually think about it.
Even the RPRA Hawk watch map, it's quite clear that most cannot be bothered to even report it.
But will sound off on forums about how displeased they are with the whole situation.
I have even offered to do it for them if they send me their details.
I have had one taker.
Now the angry mob have started again, I did ask them to have patience and bear with me, which to their credit, I think many agreed.
Since doing the blog, they have become extremely infuriated, or so it seems by the messages I have had this weekend.
They thanked me for my time and effort, but said this piss poor response ain't going to help anyone.
I don't condone their action, but I have to say, that I am sympathetic to their anger and frustration.
Like they say nobody is going to listen to 500 signatures, I have to agree.

No it's pigeon fanciers mate, threatening to open their armouries and do what they have to do regardless.

well gaz you cant blame them when you look at some of the responses to your blog these bop lovers have no respect for other peoples pets which my birds are and if something attacks them whether its a cat, hawk ,dog or person then they are going to get a response from me lol if that means crossing a boundary then so be it...its only natural to want to protect what you love.for christ sake theres nothing abnormal about that and its only human nature to react in this manner but i think most of the anoraks at the rspb are so far up their own backsides that they seem to think this argument is personal towards the pigeon fanciers themselves.how about an organised boxing match between the two parties a winner takes all scenario

But at least it got a response and that was what I was after.

Which is also fair comment, I quoted that we have 100,000 fanciers here in the UK,
But yes agree that only 500 put names to the petition.
This also speaks for itself.
So if that 500 had read that blog and they say to hell with the lot of em as you rightly said it's only natural to want to protect your birds, then who can blame them.
It's them the doo gooders, pseudo conservationists who cause raptors to be persecuted, with their attitudes.
We know there's a huge problem and rightly so only a few of us have got the balls to speak up about it.
But if the small amount of fanciers who did speak up represent the whole fancy and those others did represent the Government, RSPB, DEFRA and the NE, then to hell with the lot of them.
It's obvious that we will be banging our heads against a brick wall.

thats a fair comment gaz these people are so obstinate its a shame as their was a chance maybe to see both sides of the coin but i did note on the blog that certain things dont want to be answered by mr price and co and all they do is attack a certain angle of the debate.i think the best way forward is to ask that we be allowed to protect our birds within the vaccinity of our own property.not one answer to that on the blog because they know its not a unreasonable request and would be viewed as that in the public eye, i would think anyway,who would oppose reasonable force to protect your own

Your right mate and he is watching this site with great interest.
I shouldn't really allow myself to get rattled like that, but sometimes it does get to me. These guys do this kind of stuff week in week out.
Who are we, we are just normal folk, with a huge problem.
Maybe our arguments can be pulled to pieces, but the attacks on are birds are sadly quite real.
Ive got my camera case out today and have got battery chargers on all over the house. I'm going to make it my mission, to go to the allotment and get some live footage and maybe visit one or two other fanciers in the vicinity, just to show the true extent of the problem.
It's sods law it never happens when you have the camera.
But I'm going to give it a shot.

if so why doesnt he join the site and lets give him or "mr avery" a debate on our own turf, see how they like it...........not an unreasonable request if they are so sure they are right eh.

I've sent him four emails now and he hasn't replied to one, maybe you have a valid point or maybe with enough support, we could even shake things up a little.
I have also sent Lee Fribbins an email, no reply.
But it's funny that all the other non pigeon organisations always reply and try to help in any way they can.
