Hi David

Yes First time racing by myself, used to help out with My Grandfather for a couple of years when i ws a kid but the bug never left me so started up with a few stock birds last year and bought in a small team to race YB's this year and to be fair not doing to bad had 2nd club this week, But wasn't prepared for the losses and the size of some of the teams people have nowadays. But to be fair its not putting me off lol.

since i restarted approx 3 seasons ago ive found a lot of fanciers use the darkness system on the ybs, this wasnt around when i flew before but ive tried it for the last couple of years and it does help complete the full yb program, altho im not totally convinced they have a definate advantage over natural ybs as long as they are not dropping to bits....... scratch

Yeah for me next year i have my plan in action (famous last words) haha .. Darkness YB's etc but need to adjust my loft so im ready before old birds start. But considering mine were not on Darkness they havnt been doing to bad compared to those who have been on Darkness although my birds look bad now and most prob miss out on the last 2 Nationals lol
