This pair YB's paired together earlier in year and took to pot eggs no probs. Then I floated a 8 day baby under them which they reared. Since then they show absolutely no interest as a pair in the shed infact they have the odd nasty scrap, but when outside the "hen" follows the cock everywhere and even looks to be fed off him. Was hoping for a nice matched pair but not so sure now maybe 2 cocks, 1 "sexually confused", the one with neck still moulting in is deffinitely a cock 100% sure, what you reckon on the other?

Nice pair of birds mate, had some myself do this, which defo looked and acted like hens only to turn out to be cocks. might be a pair of wufters lol!

The deff cock is RJanssen a real handful, would love a shed full of sprinters like him if I still raced, and the possible bender is Van Dyke x Soontjen. I think I'll chuck it in with my mates hens when he seperates them, see if it shows any b****cks running with them for a few days.

nice pair m8 i would say its a hen but as we know you do get henny looking cocks especialy when inbred but sounds as though bird in question is a cross ,good luck anyway m8

I think the toes thing is only accurate when they are a few weeks old. They look like two cocks to me but you never know. I had a matched pair of RJs and the smaller white one looked like a hen but turned out to be another cock.

Gaz will agree with that method mate the reason for saying that is because when i stewarded at the old commrades show at the NEC Taffy Bowen was the judge and he showed me how to sex a pigeon with the toe method

for me i would say they are both cocks with the one in the 2nd picture which is closest to the camera a henny looking cock but shall have to wait and see the out come

Turned out it's a cock, took him a while to decide though, so either he goes and I get a nice hen for his pal, or my pair of white 'uns go and I get 2 hens for these 2 black cocks. Either way the wife is gonna be upset she has them so tame you wouldn't believe it Crying or Very sad

i,m in the same boat barnie,i have to get rid of loads of my birds of which i do,nt want to do,i have the room thats not the problem ,its the cost now.its costs us over a 100 pound a week in the racing season and it cannot be done next season.like i said if i could keep them all i would and its a shame to see certain birds go but the way it is .i,m even thinking of getting rid of my roland jansens,but if i can i will keep them as i,ve always like them and they have bred some beautiful birds for us...
