hi darren, ive polycarb on the front of mine, i used this simply because i had some but if i had to say which i prefer it would have to be the polycarb because as far as i know one side is reflective for the heat/sun......like i say i think this is so because its used on conservatory roofs. could be wrong, someone might be able to enlighten....

I think I would have to go with the polycarb, especially the twin wall stuff. As it much durable, better to cut and has much better insulation qualities and doesn't seem to attract the same condensation as perspex. Although perspex does have some good qualities, as it does make a better window being clearer and does slide easier if being put in a runner or a track. But it's polycarb for me all the way.

i prefer polycarb, i use it on my loft, you dont get condensation and perspex tends to get a little brittle as it ages out doors with the heat in summer and frosts in autumn winter.

i wonder if you doubled the perspex and made a 20 mil cavity would it still condensate as i have loads of perspex i got for free from a building site that had finished and it was going to be chucked out 5ft x 3ft sheets
