| Found this little fella yesterday evening clinging to my fence. Thought it was a normal pigeon and closed the door. Had another look and I noticed the tag was on him so took him in. Fed and watered him and kept him in the warm. As suggested on various sites I let him out of the box I was keeping him to see if he would fly away but he did'nt so still here in a nice clean clear box with plenty of air. He has food and water and I am hoping someone will claim him. Contacted the Pigeon Association but no reply yet.
Cheers

He has a green ring on his right leg and the one with writing is a red ring on his left. and those numbers are correct, not sure which way they start though.

| Ive looked, and looked....and nothing lol...
my guess is its a personal ring someones had made..
UK then the year, then the ring no, then the persons initials JAP.
im not sure where you can go next though, because i'd reckon that the ring isnt registered anywhere |

| I have seen a ring similar to that which was a silver colour not coloured and was like the old metal ones before they went plastic..however it was a fancy bird ring made by the same chaps that do doves and budgie rings, your own number, name and what ever eles. My guess is its one of those and as members have pointed out not a registered ring. |

| Thanks for your help guys, one of those things I guess. I decided to try and free him so let him out and he did fly off. However, he has stayed local and keeps on swooping on me when I go out. Looks like he will be a familiar sight now.
Cheers anyway.
