| interesting theory, far be it from me to say its not right........but does it actually work or just tell us if the bird has a strong or weak back/rump ? most of my ybs when held in the hand have their tails go down as they are a fairly strong backed/rump family............ dont all jump on my opinion and say what do i know, this is just what i inicially thought when i read the theory.........  |

| it says it only works with y/bs between 3 and 4 weeks old 99 to 100% accurate hope it is |

| This year i have decided to do a experiment on sexing birds. Ive got the paperwork done and im going to be trying different methods for example
beak pull.......bum smile/frown......toes .......ring on string.....
So i will fill in what each system says and i should get a deffinate result. thought id try on 100 babies
What do you think ?
I'll let you know my findings |

| I was taught to sex them by the shape of the egg, the cock has a point at one end, the hens are more oval, it works for me.
Any one else heard of this?

| i think they are many ways but i feel the only way is to watch them then you know whats what ,you get to learn to sex them cant really explain but by the time i race the youngbirds iam 99.9% certain of there sex
but the thing is once the egg has hatched which one is what scratch scratch
