| Thanks for the welcome everyone, I'm coming back into the sport after 10 years out, pigeons are in my blood and I miss em too much to stay away. I'm saving up for a loft and hope to have the garden ready and the loft in it by winter time, I always used to race natural, but I'm looking at other systems to try before designing my loft. I raced from a loft on a pathway at the end of my garden as a kid, my mum wouldn't let me have a loft so I wrote a letter to the council and they let me build a little narrow loft on the path behind my house, I had my stock pigeons, youngens and racers in that 1 loft. I had some success over the years and topped the Thurrock Fed a few times, but I now know that I used to send my pigeons to heavy. One of my Fed wins was with the cock from the bottom nestbox pumping 8 big youngens that i'd just taken away, it probably knocked a bit of weight off him lol. I may ask for money for xmas and buy a stock pair from Louella, as well as knocking on a few old friends doors for a couple of youngens. I've got 2 young children, and I'm going to fly a small team of pretty coloured pigeons. I used to race in the Pride Of Laindon, and the Nevendon flying club, I'm not even sure if they are still going. I've been watching your 1 loft races, it looks good fun, I would definitely be up for that when i'm established. |

Recruit those squeakers of yours & let them get down & dirty when you start building etc. "Then" when everything is finished give them their own personal scraper & show them how it should be used. ***** |
