HI LADS . TERRYP HERE JUST BEEN ONTO PIGEON AUCTION ON LINE .TRIED TO BID BUT HAVE NO LOFT NUMBER SO RANG THE VENDOR . SAID ATER THE ON LINE AUCTION THE BIRDS WILL GO TO ANOTHER AUCTION AND WILL HAVE TO BE BID FOR IN THE ROOM DOES THIS HAPPEN OFTEN THOUGHT ONLINE MENT ON LINE........ CHEERS TERRYP..

all I can think of terry is you say how much is your top price for the bird and the auctioneer will bid on your behalf at the sale or you can tell him you will be bidding by phone or internet I have bought once online never again had to bin the bird after a year would only buy on line if the bird had flown

maybe the online bid becomes the starting bid in the sale room.....? if someone else bids you are outbid and they win the bird.....?

Its a con in my eyes the birds should only be sold on line or in the room not both. Save your money and go somewhere you can see and handle the bird so you can make a better judgement of weather to part with your cash or not. Evil or Very Mad

It would appear to be a con. thou more than likely somewhere in the fine print on the site there, they would be covering their a***s etc in what they do. Legal !!!!!! "Maybe" Ethical, not by a country mile sadly, at least not in my view. Just there way of draining the last dollar out of the flyers bidding etc & boosting their own commission at the end of the day, I suspect. cheers

let me tell you about a online auction which is going on now first bid £100 the next bid was also £100 the 2nd bidder is now the top bid because he has left instructions of what his highest bid he is prepared to go to so to bid online you do need to understand the rules the other rule you have is known as the 10min rule that is at the end of the sale anyone bidding within 10 mins of the end the sale will carry on until the last bid is clear by 10mins

who really cares terry?,pigeon fanciers are their own worse enemy,if we all had the balls to forsake the auction houses and dealers for a season,it would clean up the corruption overnight,but we will not and the conman will be putting their hands in our pockets as usual. Embarassed
