we have done brother x sister pairings and half brother x sister pairings with are vanreets with some success and is not always the best thing as u are also inbreeding on eny bad in the birds , it is all trial and error .the quality of the birds is so important it is a lot easier to find two birds not so closely related of high quality test their young thru the seasons and line breed to the best, you have to move with the times and birds\vel\races are getting quicker and breeding back to birds that won a big race or multi 1st years gone bye wont be good enough today unless you race test them and hold the winning genes of today.

Breeding Bro/Sis is not good.
You get more bad birds than good birds.
"BUT you can get lucky and get a very good bird.
Just Trail & error.
Back in 1976 I had a bird from a bro/sis mateing    they were nest mates.
The cock flew very good for me and breed good birds.
I kept him 21 years.
All the other birds from that mateing were disposed of.
I wasted my time and money on them.
Learned a lesson the HARD way
In my 31 years of Raceing pigeons---
I still DO NOT know what to do for the birds-
But I remember "WHAT NOT TO DO AGAIN"

we have two good examples
ransom 50(ransom x reckless) x racy(ransom x resolve) we had 5cocks and 2hens from this pairing and all went straight to stock and all bred winners, but both were very good producers of winners and breeders in their own right.

ransom50(ransom x reckless) x ransom hen(ransom x reckless) we had 1 pair of these cock and hen both bred winners but the hen bred breeders aswell so all the line from the cock is gone.

we also paired ringside(toey x regality) to toelara(toey x clara) a cock from this pairing breeds winners and we are currently trying a dgt from him at stock when paired to a dgt from the double ransom hen.
