Words fail me !!!!!!!!!

Just had a big event on the local scene    here. Local councillor's/bureaucrat's & all the big wigs from the state & the federal scene all patting each other on the back, for what a terrific job they all had done, in building a new railway station underground etc where I live. Millions it cost to do & they all wanted a piece of the pie      when the back slapping went on type of thing. All was going well !!!!!!!! "Until"       one of the local peasants, who was invited along to the sausage sizzle on the day "Ask' where are the lifts !!!! for all those that are disabled type of thing seeing as it's now 100 ft underground & the main access is by steps etc. Silence !!! was heard       from  all the big wigs there & they all promised     that they would look into the issue & try & have it fixed by the end of the year.
So !!!!! now    , just to finish this off     if any would like some half whit politician/bureaurcrat's I will have no trouble what so ever in suppling them for you     "Cheap".

na yer alright oz we got plenty of our own up here to contend with   

I always thought that wheel chair access to public places was compulsory, and any architect or local planning officer should have questioned this and sorted it out long before any building had taken place, so I think they have actually broken the law?

I agree martyn, building something on this scale wasn't just thought up over night, and built the next day......... plans and applications need to be looked at and approved by the "powers that be"

Wise man "encompetent fools"    Another tale to the sorry saga      A local here, wrote a piece into the local newspaper etc. Was on the new station & saw a bloke in a wheel chair get off the train there & was looking somewhat confused/bewildered. Being made of the right stuff 6'4" & 17 stone he stepped in to help him out etc "Good sarmaritan type" & offered to push him up the steep/long ramp with a few corners thrown in to boot there     type of thing. When he eventually reached the top & saw daylight He said he was totally knackered & R*****d completely     & needed to call an ambulance    "Quick" Not for the poor bloke in the wheel chair thou he said. He !!!! needed one     for himself.
