Show dates and Classes...

with members saying they would like to have some shows and showing their support, it might be a good idea to see when members think we should start them, and what classes we should have....

I know the pigeons are still moulting at the moment so it wont be for a week or two I wouldn't think...im thinking each member could enter up to 3 birds into each class, which will be held every week, with the winner announced on the Saturday, and then the new show will start Saturday evening....

any thoughts anyone...?

...pieds and grizzles maybe ? you could do a prize winner class lots of different options im easy whatever is decided atb

yes Darren, I think the main thing is to keep it simple, like you say young cock and hens, old cock and hens and then a winner of winners show.....

that will be 5 shows, so has anyone else got any suggestions ?

2. class . old hens
3. class . young cocks
4. class . young hens
5. class . gay pieds
6. class over all winner of each classes.

yes I think we did George, if we have enough members interested who keep fancy breeds maybe they can let us know if they would be interested in entering them......???

can anyone suggest when would be a good time for the first old cocks show ? a rough guide to when they might have finished moulting.....

my obs are a few weeks off yet from finishing the moult don't know about others though

yes mine too Darren, maybe it was because I didn't separate till late, im not sure.......but they should be ok in a couple of weeks I would say......

mine been separated for a while now david....but ybs are all through the moult but they started to moult earlier as they were not darkies obs on last 2 flites now

strange that isn't it, my dark ybs are dropping to bits now, but a couple of late breds (those you sent me the rings for) are completely moulted out, and are looking very smart......LOL

yeah ...messing with nature doing the dark see david eh, never again for me but then I am not interested in yb racing anymore so its easy for me to say and do
