| I am of the same view as you David I don't like big long deep keeled birds with long tails. I have a hen like that, so I've paired her to a small cock, I won't be breeding from them, they will be rearng a youngen from another pair.
I try to pair by extracting weaknesses, for instance if one has a slightly weak back I will match it to a mate with a stronger back.
And also if there's a wild pigeon I try to pair it with a tamer one.
Ironing out the genetic creases so to speak.

| when breeding there are so many things to look for balance feather bone structure performance carricter eyes is a theory so cant coment the rest i can and all out way the eye theory in my eyes you need to bond with your birds find out what makes them tic no 2 pigeons are the same what i have learnt over the years is motivation out ways all theories
forget keeping up with the jones do your own thing in your loft with your birds you will find ya resulst will be fr better than copping someone ie you have not got there birds there loft there location |

| BREEDING IS LIKE PLAYING THE LOTTERY 1 YEAR A PAIR WILL BREED U SUPERSTARS THEN BREED DUUDS EVERY YEAR THERE AFTER. WHAT U WANT IS A FAMILY OF MAYBE 5 PAIR OF STOCK THAT BREEDS U A GOOD PIGEON SAY EVERY 3 YEARS THEN YOU WILLL BE LUCKY AND MAYBE A SUPER PIGEON EVERY 10 YEARS |
