Out here we are only allowed to read our first bird & pool bird ; what do you think of that idea ? ;now be nice i didn't invent it ?lol

i think you be allowed to time in as many as you want.i for one don,t want to be say second or third club when really i might have been 7th or 8th or wherever .if 10 or 20 birds beat mine then thats the way its is.i know where your coming from, to give other a chance, but i want to beat the top flyers fair and square.this is just mine opinion and its one i,ve always believed in

I agree ray, I don't think its a correct result if members are only allowed to clock one pigeon......the winner might have clocked 4 pigeons before the man who gets 2nd place

in r club the result for the top 6 is correct then its changed to get every 1 on the result from 7th onwards which is ok first 6 get the cards top 3 get the prize:D

Do you think in short racing Position as a lot to do with it ?; I understand we all need leaders ;but if the birds are coming say 4 or 5 k away from your natuarl line of your loft wouldn't that favior the guys living under that line more ?; this has been a debate longer than i care to remember out here ;iv'e seen clubs dismantle & Ban some lofts for this very Reason ;I know the VHA will only let you clock 2 birds after & including 500 miles but along with Some Sydney Feds will let you register more than one loft per yard meaning you can clock more than one bird ; but you must pay up  each Lofts registeration on the Lofts to Club & Fed plus entry money for the season also give a ring register of each bird from each loft nominated ;We raced in a club back home where all Sprint racing was single up ; pairs & Teams meaning seperate liberations ; same as your Old Skimmer racing over there many years ago ;any way you could take all the prizes exccept  in the Mob racing only one prize ;most weeks there was a $1000 ;00 on the table or even more money as we sold the lofts in the Hotels ;in what we call Calcutta's ;it was very popular ;to cut a long story short most weeks we would take the first 10 or so races ;came AGM we had a Boundary drawn around us ?

No one way way will please every one I suspect Rick . Many fly corridor/box type racing like K  & that can be far differant to some one like myself or Hal etc. Whose club boundary's could take in half of England "well nearly" & a system has to be in place which finds everyone happy & content with what system they choose. Now !! a wee comment on K's words of wisdom re the VHA etc & the duel flyers there. What once was a mighty Fed (500 members) 20 fed positions is now just about on it's knees sadly & the brains there ??? think that by allowing duel flying there that will save them in the end , but this little duck      knows sadly that it won't .

I think the VHA had 600 plus when we flew YB's in 1969 ? ;but pigeon racing is going backwards ; FRP ; SCF ; NRP & CCF had close to 1400 back then ; Now SCF 90 ; CCF 400 plus no FRP ; or NRP ;Southern Fed around 60 odd ;Future Doesn't look good when you see the age's of most ; cheers

Which bloke were you K back there in 69 etc. The one sitting in the corner at Swan street  with grumpy Bob Fleming "Mr Eye sign" looking totally confused with what he was preaching or the one that used to come in the rooms like old Jimmy Bryce (God bless his soul) who had to travel
1-1/2 hrs by train to present his clock on the day & if he missed it by a minute his trip was 2-1/2 hrs hours & then he had to do the same exact thing again to get home to his little house up in the hills .

a result should be first clocked first on the result sheet whether some guy has clocked 20 should have no bearing on it ...we are all after the red card anyway

True O/S as long as the first one clocked is the fastest etc. What happens then depending on many things that can make or break a Fed or club etc from my perspective. Now !! an example, the little fat bloke rang earlier today for a chat & ask me if I had received my invitation from Dr Spock, for the grand opening of his new lofts down yonder 30 miles south of me  with his 800 perches on display there. I told him the posty hasn't been yet but I had a strange feeling some how,I will not be receiving one . Now back to the multi clocking senaro how do you think my little team of battlers here would go against him with a roaring wind up their backside & he having multi teams in of the hundreds & his mate Spiro just around the corner there to him having more pigeons than him in the race.

Sounds about right K When J/H roared the room come to a stand still etc & if you were a minute late with your clock you were rat sh*te as he would shut the door on you there. J/S is still going strong of sorts with the help of Clarky who is like a son to him. Back in 69, my mate called E***n  & I used to meet up with Jack & his good mate Lenny Burns down at Kilcunda just to freshen them all up when the wind was from the north etc & to give them a sight of the water before they went to Tassy. All good times, but things have certainly changed & sadly not all for the good .

Often Talk to Kevin just to keep him in line re the Benzing etc seems a nice Guy a very buisy man ;
