Not up there with the best of them John etc but you will get better I suspect with out a doubt. Just think of it as like climbing a ladder as every step you take it will become easier.
Now I'm as crap/useless as K here in this field & I suspect sadly we both will never even get to the first step unfortunately in the pursuit of perfection.

Thanks pal it is one side i need to change it to ply like the other side but have not got round to it yet. it was my shed at one point lol

MMMMMmmmmmmmm Not quite true John as your first attempt above etc places your feet firmly on the first step/rung I suspect & with a wee bit of luck, you will master another skill in life I would suggest to gain more pleasure from, with your birds.

Thanks for the info ill get some ply up here in the week and get it changed over i did not want to change it when the birds where in the loft so i will have to look them out side in the fly pen for a hour or so
