Young Bird Comp

We are looking to hold a young bird comp, It will be open to members to make a choice of a 5 bird special, or a 1 ace young bird. The comp will be run for young bird season 2015, you will give your nominations of young birds 2 weeks before season starts. Once we have feedback from the members, we can post the rules of the comp. Thank you.

well if ya pick five odds are most will be in it each week but if ya just pick one it may get lost and ya out so 5 birds for me so we can keep the bantor etc going

Thanks steve, once we know if its a 5 bird special, or a 1 ace bird comp, we can then post the rules of comp. I would just like to thank our members George (Rainbow) and Don Webb, for becoming judges along with myself. Thanks for all the feedback, this will help a great deal. The Judges will not be taking part in any of the races themselves, that is why they have been picked.

Good thinking G much better to have a few in the pot . Tho !!! we all know ??? we can quite easily       pick our first bird, each week etc on basket night.

Interesting Rick but remember tho, you have a few dumbo's here, so adding the distance beside each place. May ??? just help those not in the loop as such have a better picture of what is ahead for the champs in question .

What it is John you decide for the competition to be either a 1 bird special or and 5 bird special competition You pick,

Let's say you decide for the 5 bird competition you nominate the 5 birds you want to take part before the season starts and the 5 birds are raced each week and there results are posted on the site and at the end of the season the 3 judges will see which youngsters has performed the best over all the youngbirds races

I have even suggested that a prize for the longest distance raced by any bird clocked in race time be considered

The reason for this is because you can have a pigeon win 3x1sts on short land races in blow homes and you could have a pigeons which is just of the pace but there abouts every week (think we have all had some of them with no luck on there side) and you send them to the longest race to have them return the winner it all adds to the fun

Can I along with K Devo, join here. I would suggest ??? we might just be in with a chance for the longest flown bird senaro.

The Comp doesn't sound fair as us Aussie's are YB specialist out here ?lol
