| I've been guilty of sending my birds too heavy in the past. But since starting again I've incorporated barley into the feed much more, I've found their body holds its shape well but they seem much lighter. Still work in progress though.

- Ask yourself this question when racing starts in 2016.
http://www.mclaughlinlofts.com/uploads/Are_Your_Pigeons_are_too_Heavy_for_the_Race.pdf Devo, Dave Allen of Sheffield did a film about a middle distance fancier in Belgium (Lady Fancier) and her husband raced greyhounds and David said about how weight can make a big difference to the way the dog ran
As this fancier measured the weight of the pigeons also Yes Don, I raced Greyhounds myself, its a true fact they do have a racing weight, for peak performance. Its all about getting to know that individual, there is a fine balance depending on the distance the Dog will be running. I feel its the same with racing pigeons myself, hope to find out this season. |

| Does anyone use Seaweed Grit, it would be good to get some feedback. Do you think they may be too much salt in grit while feeding young. |
