Just won my case with Knowsley council, they slashed the respite we receive by 50% for my sister in law, who suffers from Downs Syndrome and 2 years in Dementia, She is 52 years of age, and as lived with ourselves for 23 years. Well i have just received a phone call to say, i have won my case and the respite will go back to 100% and what they took off ourselves will be given back. I am now fighting for other families that lost their respite or had it reduced. The new thing of councils is to Implement changes, knowing they dont need to answer to anyone, well not this time.
