Darkness system ?????

hi martyn, so at what age would you say enough is enough and get rid..........if they have reached maybe 3 years old and done/shown nothing would you get rid or would you do it earlier......?

Hi david, I always give 2 seasons for stock, if no good pigeons come from them then after about 8 babies with aleast 2 different mates, Then they go ..but I find an excellent feeding bird is hard to find so if I find one it stays to pair to racing birds, I wont breed from it again but will keep for this reason. As for racers they must perform 3rd season, thats 2 years old otherwise, its worthless, there are always tales of the odd bird winning when its 6 , but thats 1 in a million and just like everyone knows a man whos 90 and smoked 40 fags a day, the other 99 percent are dead at 60.

i think im going to swapall my stock pairs next year regardless of what they breed this season, ill do this just to vary the pigeons i am breeding and get simmilar but slightly different ybs......unless a certain pair are churning out winner after winner every year i think they should be changed around.

yes steve, i have 3 spare hens now but maybe left it a bit late now to breed another round of ybs off them, by the time is yb race season they most likely wouldnt be ready to race..........
