I've got a cock that's claimed the floor in his section and a hen that's claimed the floor in her section,
Both a pain in the backside.
Both super cracks.
They stop the others getting grit.
Anyone else have the same problem.

when breeding all grit and minerals go into small pots in each nest box oyster shell grit/calcium//magnesium/iodine/sodium etc...are all very important at this time else the hens take it out of their bone structure(calcium)...don't under-estimate the importance of grit and minerals at this time of year (breeding).steve one will always dominate the floor its the same here but they have to get on with it I just put down grit and mins in the hopper first thing in the morning fresh everyday with a little treat of a handful of seeds very small seed like canary seed and they are all busy mopping that up for 10-15 mins in the morning ,heads down pecking like gud yins Laughing don't give yer birds grit and mins when they are loft flying and they will soon go fielding Wink

Boosey best thing to do with this cock bird is to play it in you advantage come the racing season, get another spare cock bird 10 mins before you basket for a race place him in the loft and let him run the floor and see how the other cock reacts to him send the main racing cock but leave the spare cock in the loft for the Racing cock to return to and fight

Or you could even place the main racing cocks bowl in the middle of the floor and place his hen into him and see how he can react by trying to get him hen in the bowl on the floor plus watching the other cocks chase the hen

Don this year I shut him in the next section for a week, he was hitting the window trying to get back to his own section for days, he was 3rd Whitley Bay 250 miles. Its nothing to do with the grit that he claims the floor, he claims the floor if the grit is there or not.
hes just a bugger.

Boosey nothing wrong with the way he is just use it and use it to aggravate him even more

what about locking him out of his box all week so you feed him on the floor area but come Friday night place another cock in his box with his hen and a bowl he will go crackers but cant get to his hen as he is locked out of his box

Send him but you must let him fight with the cock on his return only for about 1 minute max

try it mate he might do better than you think

steve if it were a nestbox you would lock him in it with a medium size cuddly toy this stops them fighting in the box, try putting a cuddly toy on the floor see what happens

I wouldn't let my child near Cameron, let alone let him hold it......Westminster is full of pedo`s, and Cameron is a protector of them.

I`d say vote BNP, but Cameron and cronies destroyed them once they became a threat having EMP`s
