Ice storm went thru yesterday. Had to use a hammer to get doors open. Everything covered inch or more thick. Tracks in the snow around the loft. Knocked the ice off the live traps and baited them with sardines. Intend to buy a trail cam to see what critters visit during the night. Takes a pic when something moves to trigger it.

Nothing trapped. Snowed last night but sunshine now. Tomorrow birds go out.
Time the young ones figured it out. They were born early January some of them.

Interesting about how you have had your babies locked down etc Hal Smile Smile from the way I read your post. March for me here Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad is hawk hunting time sadly & it's nothing to see the Gossie on the loft in the morning as such on a regular basis & I've learnt to have patience & play the waiting game till around April Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes with my babies, unless I want a backyard full of bodies/feathers  Wink  Wink. cheers

Yes, knackered, going thru the body moult now. So they stay in few more days. Early start early breakdown. OB's out tomorrow weather permitting. Hawks coming thru also the swans. Sign of Spring. When the YB's do get out doubt if I will lose too many. Should be strong on the wing.
