    they are thief pigeons.origionally bred to catch ferals for the owner to eat.now we use them to catch each others pigeons.

    not my cup of tea either david the ones on my posts belong to my partner
    i dont like high maintanace birds
    lot of the pouters suffer with crop problems (sour crop mainly)
    but like some one already said everyone to there own
    cracking birds in great condtion all the same

    they can be high maintainance if not checked regularly but you learn to know the signs if they are going down with sour crop.a capfull of cider vinegar to 2 litres of water usually keeps the crop sweet.
