Nobody's racing in our club

Up till not one member is racing Eastbourne this week due to bad race last week.had a feeling that would happen

so hats going to happen ray, race cancelled ...?

It sometimes happens that after disappointing racing results or losses people finish for the season.

I believe they should re-think.

Train in good weather and choose their races to try and form a better team for next year from what remains, they have done what has been asked of them.

Fanciers in my club have given up and replaced with new stock after only a young bird series and a few races as yearlings only to repeat the process again later.

are they doing the right thing caramel, or should they persist a while longer...? chooping and changing so quickly might be part of their problem maybe ...???

Seasons not finished. That's why we are resting them this week as still lots of racing left

ray we raced on the saturday and was not a good race i was lucky 100% returns but i could not have sent any back in fact i am going to the vets today imho there was something in the atmosphere caused last weeks terrible races everywhere in the uk but yet small pockets got good races

fully agree david those who put all thier birds in one basket have a week off lots of fanciers have fresh birds to race this week

Fair comment Ray etc. But I find it of interest thou that so many appear to have hit the panic mode when the race was 1600 ypm's odd & what I would call a short type race. from my perspective many of the later type birds should have flown them selves into racing type condition, so as to be able to go back again. Maybe differant strokes for differant folks .

Only one club flew last week in this Fed. We have two races a weekend, long and short. Usually about 50 miles between them. Two days of rain forecast so not sure if any races this weekend. Will let me get more training in. In regards to the previous comments. Most fanciers have good pigeons nowadays. All are equal, pigeons. Only some are more equal than others. The only way for me to find them is to ship them. And continue to do so, all else being equal. No time for free loading birds. I would rather have a few I can rely on than a bunch of maybe's. JMO.

next you have them saying "cannot wait for the ybs to start"..i hate that myself.the longer the season the better for me as thats what its all about.othrwise pack in

Longer season the better. Do not know how other folks do it but I rate them.
When I started again here in Canada kept the top 40% Then next year top 20%. Now top 10% (to MY loft.) If I end up with too many then top 5%.

best way hal, or you end up like me with far too many pigeons...........
