For what I know David & have been told etc     all the smart ones escaped when the pits closed there I believe .

Eric P is an 80 year old Belgian guy. Usually sends 40 widowhood cocks. He is hard to beat in the club and Fed. More power too him! Makes me try harder. I was there yesterday training yearlings, almost 50 mile toss for them. He told me he and others were missing half the birds. Other clubs also. It was a dull overcast day race day. Birds scattered. I got 9 out of 10 but after getting the first 2 and no more in ten minutes quit clocking. No point.

Yrlgs are in a separate loft. 20 cocks 14 hens. Way too many. They have to go 200 miles this weekend. Some have not been raced. After some thought moved the hens to the stock loft. Gave away 5 cocks yesterday. I will put the hens back Friday a.m. Plus few extra stock hens. See what happens.
