who has grizzle pigeons

I have around a dozen grizzles based on 2 families , ranging from blue grizzle to red grizzle , and even a mealy grizzle , how many do you have and what variations . I,e, coluurs

It's a long story but I bought these at Blackpool a few years ago because I fell in love with them.anyway my brother does not like them and they only get raced as ybs but they always do pretty well..so this year I decided to race a cock which never cock raced as a yb and he flew really well and went to 400 miles which was fantastic .he never done a thing wrong and he's a beauty of a bird but I. M afraid our barry will not race him anymore due to having so many ybs to try


A few on here have tried them as well and I still think they are good enough to win

I suppose given the chance they will perform well , they are a strain I have never tried as I do mainly middle to long distance ,I must admit they are good looking birds .

Yes they are .every bird I have bred of this pair are beautiful

are they a large bird ray or do they vary .

Mist are very big but I do get the odd medium sized hen

I had a grizzle cock, cant remember the breed off hand unless I look at the pedigree.....it was bought off chris vasey and I loaned it to my brother who paired it to one of his own, a yb off them did well last season in mnfc......

I quite like grizzles as they seem a strong bird for some reason....I know we can go on colour to say if they are good or not but they do seem a strong , solid bird.

think it was a kris clare*****whatever, or something like that.

I got 1 grizzle a white grizzle sent down from ray as a gift bird from a batch of 6 I still got 5 of them hes a yearling and in the race team not sure what its bred from ...any info mr.peel

I love em, got plenty here, I've had some off Ray that I will be racing the ybs off next year, they've moulted out to be handsome birds, also a couple off oldstrain, and managed to get a pair of van loon crosses that are grizzles,if I had my way that's all I would keep, but skywalker likes blues and chequers so we have a mix, the guys in the club tell me that they'll be hawk fodder when we race them lol

That's one of the worst beards I've ever seen

yes lofty its a bit scuffy isn't it.........

I use one myself David, couple of nasty chest infections so my mrs makes sure I wear it or the birds will be gone

I should wear one lofty, but I rarely do.........I have C.O.P.D. and my lungs are scared so I`m a bit of an idiot really, not wearing one.

my brother in the photo has had pigeon fanciers lung for probably 30 years, and I know he always wears a mask, hat etc and always tries to minimise the effect from the bloom, dust etc.

Especially this time of the year when the birds are in a heavy moult

yes thats true lofty, feathers all over the place in mine....plus that latest bag of bedding I put down is horrible and dusty, I`m going to throw it out soon and replace it.

What do you use to come on here.must admit I use my phone but it was easier using computer especially on the chat box.but I will give it ago this weekend on ghe chat see how it goes..that was one reason I stopped going on the chat box

Not a fan of grizzles my dad likes them not had any since we restarted but had a couple when we first raced and they both scored.
