| Can anyone give me advice on what mobile phone to buy under £100.00.
I want an Android phone or maybe they are called 'Smart Phones'.
I want to be able to take pictures and download them directly into my lap-top or main PC (not a Mac), send and receive texts and obviously make phone calls. The phone must be either unlocked or on O2.
I have a new-ish iPhone 5s (I know they are not new to the market, but this one was bought about 3 months ago - brand new in the sealed box) and we also have an iPad - both of them take good pictures, but NEITHER of them will 'Talk' to our computers.
I was told that Apple are now doing something to stop older models communicating with computers but I don't know if this is true.
Please do not send any negative comments or things like 'buy a long piece of string and two cans Phil', I haven't got time for silly comments!

| me neither....my phone is an iphone 4 which is older than yours phil, and that links up to my laptop straight away......not been funny but are you doing it right ...?
I have a lead which is the charging lead, I pull it out of the plug and it then connects to the laptop into the usb port, which brings a window up on the laptop asking if it is trusted, just click yes.....
maybe you could guide us through what you are doing, and what is happening. |

Hi Ray The problem is that the iPhone or iPad will not be recognised by either our lap-top or our main PC. If I could get the photos into a computer/lap-top, I wouldn't have any problems. I know Photobucket and have used it before. I just can't get the images that are in the iPhone and iPad out of the bloody things! Thanks anyway. Phil |

| phil, when I plug my phone into the laptop, a window comes up on the phone, saying trust this computer or don't trust this computer.....obviously I touch trust, then everything works from there. |

| Sometimes you get a disc but on the new phones when you plug it in there is an option to download the software on your computer to store your pics . Hopefully if you download the software to your computer it will work |

| Can I just clarify something again - I use the proper cable to connect my iPhone/iPad to my computer and NOTHING happens!!
There is NO message in-screen - NO NOTHING.
I have tried EVERY option - before writing on this forum.
I am NOT asking if you know why my devices will not talk to my computer - my question is - What is the best mobile phone, for under £100.00.
Thanks for all the feedback.

Great idea mate - I am going to be getting a phone in the UK, when my wife goes over there in a week or so's time. Over here they have a completely different system - which is a real Rip-Off! I would NEVER buy a mobile in frogland! Far TOO long to explain. Phil |
