do you paint or stain your loft on the outside , how often do you do it I do mine every year, and do you do the inside I do not bother . cheers

same here steve every year not inside though like the wood to breathe can cause damp spores too painting inside yer loft

I never paint inside of loft, although the latest one I put up I ply lined and it looks pretty good....I might do the same with the one I`m due to put up shortly.....as for outside I havnt painted it for the past couple of years, but its due for it really. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Outside and inside, the outside is done in one of the fancy colours, keeps the women happy, and we've done the inside white, but now you've mentioned about the wood breathing maybe we shouldn't have scratch

you will soon notice if its a problem you will see the mould growing on the boards maybe you have ventilation spot on and may not cause a problem no 2 lofts are the same atb

Paint the out side and the in side I use one of the cheep fence guard type's red cedar which just dryes and allows the wood to breath

Don't whatever you do wood stain inside and out, it traps the moisture inside and you have mouldy growing inside the loft all over.
I did it.
I had to sand every inch of the inside of my loft, it took forever.
