The N.E.H.U race from Melton Mowbray 21/4/2012 was won by Peel bros of South Shields, they took 1st club 1st fed, also taking 2nd and 4th club and 15 of the 25 birds clocked in the club......well done Peel brothers.

do you over crowd your loft , hope not ? example my young bird loft has 40 box perches , but I only ever put 30 young birds in it , that way I know I got it right , the loft size is 8ft long x 6ft deep x 6ft high , that little bit of thought goes a long way cheers

in most instances I times the length of the loft by the width and divide by 3 and that gives me amount of birds for that loft so a 6x6 section would be 36 divide by 3 = 12 ...if it was ybs I would add a few more but I use this guideline for old birds ...nothing worse than seeing a overcrowded loft

ive got too many pigeons, and out of the 5 sections I have at present 2 does have too many birds in them...but the 14 x 8 im due to put up should solve that problem... cheers

14' x 10' two sections 16 in each, y/b 8'x6' with 8'x4' aviary only breed 20 y/b each year.

whats the total length of all your lofts ray, I bet its a good few feet...

at present my total is 31 foot with a 14 foot loft going up asap.

One of my biggest mistakes is over crowding must reduce this winter or no young birds next year
