Brunel Microscope for Sale

We have an as-new Brunel Microscope that we would like to sell.

It is ten years old, but has been in its original wooden box ever since we bought it directly from Brunels and not used for the last many years.  Consequently it looks like it did the day we bought it.

It is everything that a pigeon fancier would need to check faecal samples from their (or anyone else's) birds.

It has 3 different lenses and two different eye pieces.  As I said, it comes in its own 'made to measure' wooden box.

We are only selling this microscope, because we have bought an up-graded model.  It cost over £165.00 as new, but we would like only £85.00 + any postage costs.  Or you can pick it up from Stroud, Gloucestershire - any time from Saturday 15th to Sunday 23rd October by prior arrangement.

If anyone is interested, please let us know straightaway and my wife will take it with her when she leaves FIRST thing Friday morning - that is tomorrow morning.

It is a wonderful buy at any price, but almost a gift at this price.

sounds a bargain phil, one which I would have been interested in a couple of weeks ago......but sadly funds have dwindled since I spent £1,105 on my car being repaired, I`ll have to do a bit of crawling to see if she`ll agree to more money being spent.....

We have decided that my wife will take our Microscope to England with her anyway when she goes tomorrow morning.

What sort of microscope do you have edgie?

And WHY do you NEED a microscope with a light?  If you have a good light source shining on the mirror, it is just as good as having one with a light, if not better!  Unless you are going to pay 4 or 5 times as much as I am asking for our microscope, - one with a built in ADJUSTABLE light - then you are going to get into all sort of problems with 'Over-Illuminating' your slides. It is better to have an External light, so you can adjust the intensity of the light to make you slides more visible.  A FIXED light source will NOT do that unless to pay over £500.00.

It is nice to have a microscope with a light but you Defiantly DON'T NEED one with a light.  Hundred of pigeon fanciers do all their examinations without an in-built light.

Edgie - I really wish you wouldn't tell people that they need a microscope with a light as it simply is NOT true!
