Sir Rene Archer wins 1st & 2nd club.
Rene Archer wins 1st and 2nd from Messac 118 miles on the 02/06/12 with a 2year old Jan Aarden which was lightly raced as a yearling...... Rene also took 1st on the 19/05/12 from Carentan 62 miles with a Barker, his daughters were also 2nd in the same race where they were the only birds home on the day.....Well done to Rene and his daughters.

From Fed Topper to Master Chef
The N.E.H.U race from Melton Mowbray 21/4/2012 was won by Peel bros of South Shields, they took 1st club 1st fed, also taking 2nd and 4th club and 15 of the 25 birds clocked in the club......well done Peel brothers.

I know its a little early yet but when pairing up birds , what do you use as a guide ? , best to best - pedigree to pedigree - strain to strain -type to type -distance to distance - sprinter to sprinter eye to eye , or some other method ? or do you like to experiment ?

best to best of what I got Laughing but will be getting most of my ybs in this year it was almost a new start for us last year to be honest steve I have not really had the time for pigeons since Alfie was born but that changes now he is at school so hopefully this year I will be back in the game properly Basketball

personally I think best to best is the way to go....and obviously keep short distance birds together and long together.

I hope to be pairing a couple of weeks earlier this year coming, its normally 1st Saturday in feb, but I`m aiming for 2 weeks earlier....... Suspect Suspect

getting 80 rings too....... lol! lol!

Why all the different things why not just do what the Belgium's do and pair best to best all on racing ability

All those that said 'Best to Best' are right in my book.

However, what about young birds of this year that have NOT had time to show themselves?  Do you breed from them or not?
