I was showed by an old Dutchman who reckoned to hold the birds legs between your fingers with the bird stood on top of your hand with your knuckles facing up and to then gently pull the birds head downwards and if the tail goes up its a hen,if it goes down its a cock many theories out their but to be honest I just wait til they show me

There are many ways to sex a bird but if you watch when a bird is cooing a nd spinning on the spot the hen will go from side to side the cock will spin a full circle gauranteed .

I try sneaking up behind them in my undies, if they run away they're hens, if they stay and wait for one up the backside they're cocks, ( usually from Leeds lol! lol! )
