| shortly I will be building my new loft, it will have a tiled apex roof.......I know on a house you put felt on first before you tile the roof, but on some lofts ive seen they havnt bothered to do this, they have just tiled straight onto the battons......anyone got a tiled roof, can they advise what they have done...?
thanks. |

| they idea of a tiled roof is to let the loft breath, no way do you use an undrfelt on a pigeon loft roof |

| Don't have a tiled roof myself Dave but it would be a good idea to put plenty of pitch on it to get the water going the right direction at first you will probably have to move one or to tiles as you will most Lilly have leaks as some of my mates have had to do |

| thanks mark, that's why I asked about the under felt....I was thinking it might leak, and theres quite a bit of work involved tiling the roof I presume. also wondering what size floor joists to use as there will be quite a bit of weight in the roof too. |
