PostSubject: long distance pigeon   Tue Nov 22, 2016 8:58 pm

here is one for you ,5400 miles -ichabo isle , w,africa to nine elms , London , (dropped dead one mile from loft) 55 days , liberated 1st june 1845 , owned by duke of wellington , 5,400 miles is approximate airline distance , but as a bird could not fly across the sahara desert the probable distance is about 7,000 miles some pigeon cheers

I have to agree with Edgie about the Duke of Wellington pigeon as I did it for my history project

My teacher was amazed and gave me top mark it was the only time I enjoyed history

Hated it any other time lol! lol!
