same idea here when I first started with pigeons, the pet arcade in the town centre was the place to buy strays and straggs .....50 pence each they were and when they got out they would be off back to the person who sold them to the pet shop.....id often see the same bird I`d bought a few weeks later back up for sale..... cheers cheers Razz Razz lol!

Used to be a bring and buy bird market in Newcastle centre on Saturdays, show cages with canaries, mules, finches hung up on nails on a red brick wall. It's where Eldon Square is built now. Remember a bloke having a 25 bird race pannier full of bonnie pigeons all rung, just to tempt us schoolkids to part with pocket money. Looking back I don't doubt he was top stragcatcher and many birds were back in his basket for sale again, as kids we couldn't wait to fly them out, not many of us settled them.
