| I don't know what is it like weather wise with you guys at the moment, but because it is getting warmer we here in frogland are experiencing a lot of FOG!
At the moment it is what we used to call a 'Pea souper' and the last day and a half, we have not been able to let our birds out as they wouldn't be able to see their beaks in front of them.
My questions is:- Do members leave their loft doors open in foggy weather. I was told the other day, that it is not good practice to do so.
What do members think?

| no definitely not for me it can be as cold as can be and I will let them out or open the loft up but fog or rain they stay closed up and in....anyway defra have advised we keep our birds in with the latest outbreak of bird flu ...what are they saying in france phil apparently theirs been a few outbreaks from Poland to france but again the wild birds carry it so these outbreaks are going to happen |

| During this very foggy weather - if we are not letting our birds out for exercise, and closing any outer doors to stop fog entering our lofts -
Are we not putting our birds out in the aviaries or flights during this foggy weather?
And are we putting the lights on in the day time?
I have now just started putting lights on in the morning before it gets light naturally and they go on again around 17:00 hours (local time) in the evening for a while. I want to start extending the birds' daylight time before I start breeding. We have special 'Natural Daylight' bulbs in all the lofts now.
