All my tumblers live off is young bird mix no maize all year, apart from when they get idle and won't fly i put them on depurative for a few days, but the mix I have to be honest would do for the racers as well

Darren , are you putting them on the yb no maize for the protein aspect of it...?

ive been using g10 pellets for the past couple of months on darrens advise, and I must say they are looking pretty healthy......I usually feed the gem breeding mix which includes the g10 pellets, but I think this year ill stick to mixing my own g10`s into the mix and just add more.

This season we are thinking about gem breed and wean, looks a nice mix and maybe we'll add the g10's but not sure about it yet, what's your guys opinions on the g10 pellets, are they worth adding to what should already be a good mix

I like using pellets when breeding lofty, in the 80`s when I raced we used the turkey pellets which I think were very good, I don't remember them having the g10`s then.

I tried some chicken pellets a few years ago and the loft stunk like an old chicken shed, I got told I was feeding too much of them to the birds this is why the loft stunk, but the ybs were all ok and big and healthy.

I think the g10`s are good because they have a lot of vitamins and other stuff in them, they also help with the digestion problems like bacteria. (says so on the bag...lol)

I like the g10s they contain gem the pax supplement in them aswell also vitamins and minerals I suppose a decent layers pellet would be just as good but I like gem the pax I think its a good product tried and tested for years it contains a lot of micronutrients

are there antibiotics or anything else in chicken pellets because they are for human consumption...?

(the chicken, not the pellet)
