what do members do regards any treatments we do noting apart from vaccinate but they are put on natural supplements ...usually canker them after couple of training tosses early july and that's it until racing commences where things get played as they go along , before racing ybs need to build immunity so its deep litter and no medications for us

Something we are aiming for as well daz, jabs, canker, cocci and worms, then leave them build up their own immunity and treat if needed

Ween our young birds on a clean floor with a dusting of loft white and electrolytes in the water for the first couple of days feeding just once a day with a good all round mix

Local mix "Cheap" Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes with extra peas added & chicken pellets, for the first 10/14 days
etc & I always keep a close watch on those that may have trouble finding the water trough here, which always has Colloidal silver in it.

I also use a few chicken 'rearing' pellets during the breeding season and for the young birds at weaning and all through the first 3 months of their life.

I use V-L Breed and Wean for the breeders and the weaned y/b's. They stay on that until they start training hard, then racing, when I think that need a little more protein and carbo'.

I don't know anything about Colloidal silver - so I will look into that. If I wanted some, where can I get some?

Phil Smile Smile Colloidal silver is no magic bullet & only believe half of what you may read about it type of thing, but I have used it for 20/25 years here. I take 50mls every morning myself & 50 mls I place in a bucket of water for the birds as such & as of this moment in time Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes I have have not turned blue yet Laughing Laughing Laughing. To buy it etc is a total rip off from my perspective & I would suggest it may be worth while thinking about buying a generator if interested thats makes it for a few pennies/cents. Here, a bought bottle of CS costs around $35 for 500 mls in the shop & I buy a carton of pure water to make it for $ 8 for 10 litres. Cheap, cheap & cheap Wink Wink & it all fits into my budget very very nicely.
Enjoy.

Cheers Buddy - sounds interesting. What kind of generator do you mean?

Do you know the process of how to make the CS? You may know that I am a jewellery maker and designer by trade and I have lots of silver in stock - Sterling and Pure silver.

Could I use that to make my own CS?

Thanks
Phil
