Interesting read Hal etc. Winter breeding has been going on here for100 odd years as such. Many in the past mated up in June so as to ring them on the 1st of July when the rings are issued type of thing here. Never been my thing, as around Oct/Nov is when I get my normal ring issue. Now !!!!. Lost all my smillies here for some reason unfortunately "Not happy".
Cheers.

Have 12 pairs on eggs now. Cold here! However, what really interested me was the statement to the effect that cocks used for widowhood later in the year were used. With beneficial effects on the cocks.
I am toying with the idea of putting them all together soon. Raise a few yb's then separate for a month or so.
