I've got wet perches in my cocks section.
Giving them double strength Ropa B in their water for 4 days, hopefully that will do the trick.

Wet and mushy Darren, haven't treated for canker since end of last season, I'm going to get treatment with xmas money and treat before pairing.
It's been extremely damp here recently with thick fog over all the Xmas holidays.

From PIPA.
Allthough wet droppings can be caused by infectious agents it does not have to be the case. Certainly with widowers stress is a big cause because of too much drinking. In a lot of cases when these birds have their hen, they do not have these wet droppings.
A good trick to tell the difference between an infectious or non infectious cause is to look at droppings very early in the morning. When they are firm on this hour, the cause is just because they drink too much during the day.

could be a touch of wet canker I asked about them seeing the hens because as hal has mentioned some cocks show wet droppings when parted but when paired back up the droppings firm up again ,at least that was my experience ...also on the way to feeding the birds some produce a wet dropping just excitement at being fed not all wet droppings mean bad news sometimes its absolutely nothing to worry about...a canker treatment wont hurt if you plan to pair up shortly anyway ...atb m8

It has also been VERY damp here in frogland over the past 3 or so weeks - with thick misty fog until 14.00 hours or sometimes even later than that.

Some of our birds, cocks and hens, have had wet droppings over the past few weeks sometimes - NOT every day!

To be honest, I haven't questioned it too much, maybe I should have. Most days 90% of our birds have good firm droppings.

Good luck getting to the "bottom" of it all Boosey.

Just a few hatched, starting yesterday. 12 pairs, 3 pair not even laid yet. Did not put lights on or stimulate them. Just night lites on last week or so. Plus light seeping out from underneath waterers. Definitely no heat. When young are raised in heated aviary the transformation to the young bird loft is a disaster, I am told.

True Hal !!!. One out of 44 pair "wink wink" was my strike rate this breeding season. Youngsters never made it to the race loft etc. Peas/fibre in most cases helps solve the issue I've found & if not "wink wink" I have a big garden. Cheers
