I believe that you only get out of your 'Racing' pigeons, what you put in!

And, if one is buying wild bird seed to save a quid.  Then you end up with a far Inferior product with all the added complications that that might bring - Isn't that 'False Economy'?

Members have mentioned mould, what about dust, mouse poo, mites, weevils and maybe a whole host of other nasties.

Lots of people go out and spend untold amounts of money on 'So-Called' wonder drugs or tonic this or energy that - and most of it is crap!  Not to mention all the needless antibiotics some people pump into their birds.

In my opinion, it is better to buy Quality feed and less stuff that comes out of a bottle!

Phil

got to agree with this phil, for me I don't want to have to look back and worry it was my fault if summat went wrong, no point in cheap skating, vers laga and the like spend money putting together the best they think will do the job I aint gonna second guess them. I am not saying there isn't cheaper alternatives just peace of mind for myself more than anything

Phil is correct of course Redrog, but if one can find good quality food at a cheap price etc why not buy it as such. Reminds me, of the day I saw a bag of grit for near $80 odd Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes did have a pigeon on the bag etc thou Smile Smile but would you like to take a punt  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing  on how many bags I bought. Cheers.
