Probably May 6th weather permitting. Two races a weekend. Short 110 miles, longer one 150 miles. Not many send to the short one as distance for them is 60 miles. They train farther. 50 miles is all I train nowadays. When I get them out.

I guess phil411 and Darren are talking about experienced old birds - bird that have raced as old bird or yearlings last year.

What do you recommend for birds that are last years bred birds, that did not race last year?

Yes Darren - most of them have been out to around 70 miles and a couple of them have been single tossed from that distance.

5 have not been trained at all.

What would you guys recommend?

I don't really train old birds, because of the falcon problem I prefer to exercise them before first race and maybe give 1 30 mile toss before the race, but only if its windy and wet, that way we avoid the falcons a bit.
