Mine are still inside their eggs. I suppose I could put them outside the loft for a couple of minutes.

We've only got a few, I ask because I noticed when I passed one of our members houses that he had a few ybs out flying, not loads but about 15, so I thought I'd better get our couple out on the loft

Weaned them last Sunday David, they are eating well now and come for food with a whistle, so if the weather is ok this weekend we were hoping to give them a bit of time just on the landing board

First couple of ybs out today, put a couple of old birds out with them just to keep them on the loft, was quite pleased, most had a bit of a flutter onto the fence panels and back on the loft, called them in and after a bit of persuading they all dropped through into the loft, a couple of stragglers took a bit longer but all in all it went well, hopefully the weather stays ok and we can get them out again, Luke had a bit of a heart attack when they took off but he's calmed down now lol

Break in the weather this morning, cloudy, dry with no wind , so got the babies out again, did well, couple took up about 20ft and back to the loft, some onto the roof, had them out for an hour and called them, only a few took their time but not bad trapping consider it was only their 2nd time, happy Luke was in work, much more stress free

True Lofty "stress free". Dream time I call it here & I've found it much better than sitting on a couch etc having some expert telling you how to solve all your issues/problems as such. ***** |
