| There's such a huge variety of mixes over here there isn't any need to mix your own, I just leave it to the scientists to work it all out, then buy a mix that suits me and my birds, of course you will buy different mixes for different times of the year, breeding, racing , resting and moulting, some will be better than others but you just have to find one that suits you |

| basically buy the mix, but always add something to it.........when not breeding or racing I mix versa laga all round with bamfords depurative then a small % of g10 pellets, all birds get this until breeding starts and I go onto a breeding mix usually containing pellets but I sometimes add more my self. |

| Basic all round mix, mixed with wheat. The percentage depends on the weather. |

| Variamax has 30+ amount of grains and is used by Bert Braspenning all year. The 30+ amount of grains can be cut down as different types of peas, maize etc have the same nutritional value.
I use a basic mix with maize, peas, dari, safflower, tares and wheat.
Protein grains including peanuts are added when rearing young and for moulting, fats and energy grains are added when racing.
To control over eating barley or paddy rice are somewhere in the mix except when raising young birds early season up to May, after that sunshine is the only other ingredient. |
