Catch up with David

Hi all
I spent a very enjoyable morning chatting to David its been about 5 years since i was last there, David showed me his birds all of which were in fine fettle, i was impressed with the cardwell van reets he brought in and the hofken jannsens he has , he sent me a pair of the latter about 4 years ago i lost the cock but the hen is still here picking up a few prizes along the way . before i left he gave me 6 of the van reets to try and 2 more hofken jannsens most of you guys who have had pigeons of david know he breeds a good pigeons David is a true gent to the pigeon fraternaty and i know he has given me some good birds he races his pigeons through his friends and ive been friends with David about 15 years

well said ken davids a great guy always willing to help out where he can and is very generous with his many gift birds to site members ,i to like the cauldwell van reets their nice pigeons and david is breeding some nice ybs from them i had a 12th open position with one of them and should have topped the open but that's my fault ...glad you both had a good morning ,wish i lived a bit closer atb

thanks ken, was good to see you again after 5 years, just a shame you couldn't stay longer eh....was nice to chat pigeons, and hear what plans you had for the new club and 2017 racing, i hope those ybs race well for you ken...

It was a pleasure , i had the young birds out this morning , they enjoyed a bath with the others had a flutter round no problems

In the kindest of ways here Hal I class David as one of the Phantom brigade in our sport come race day etc. Many reasons why I would place his type in that catagory etc from my perspective. Family,health,work, education issues,the money factor,oldage/rota virus the list is long as such & truth be told, when I look at my Federations members list etc 1/3 of the members there are just the same as David. At the end of the day we just love our pigeons in our own way the best we can etc & we have only to answer to our selves come judgement day I suspect.

May not be always right David but I try to put things from my perspective in a honest type way as they say, even if I'm an   here    .

I know many of the members here appreciate and respect your perspective on topics knackered.....you always give us an interesting view on things........which are usually right

Yes David is a true gent of the sport as you all know I'm not racing of yet and in the test loft David brought a pigeon for me to enter which for me was out of this world

So I thank David a lot for the chance to be apart of the test loft thanks again David

Thanks Don im sure they will , they have settled in well no problems they are fluttering about the garden now , like you say David is a real diamond
