Everything I read says you have to have quality pigeons, but without good management they won't do anything

I think it must be 50/50, one can't work well without the other. I probably hinder mine more than help them.

I think so also. However, the pigeons here are better than the management. Or were in recent years. Full steam ahead this year, not sure how many years are left. Maybe less than 50? Ever an optimist! Oh well. This year is sort out year. I have been lazy. I need the amount of birds down. Cull and cull again by results. Not smart enough to do it any other way. Too much money for feed, too much time with too many. Heck do not know each pigeon as I used to. Will pay the Fed for 40 a week. Other years only paid for ten or twenty. Club president is a Belgium guy. Widowhood flier. 40 cocks each week. He cleans up usually, Fed and club. Hope to give him a run for his money, if not this year then next. He is 82. Life time in birds. I have beat him before but rarely. No ets clocks allowed so even here. Trapping advantage he has is his daughter. She is faster than him or I!
