| when we raced years ago, we raced just widowhood cocks....we trained up until they started racing, then stopped training and loft exercised twice per day.
whats members thoughts on this, and do they continue to train widowhood cocks once racing has started...? |

| by what I can remember, the cocks would go off flying for maybe 45 mins in the morning, then spend another hour coming and going off the loft roof, clapping around and landing, before clapping off again for a fly round......we always knew when they were in good condition when they did this, they couldn't keep still. then the evening fly would be around another 45 mins, but we tried to keep them calmer and didn't let them come and go like in the morning............ |

| We train ours if they go off form and become lazy which funnily enough they have but u put that down to keenness because they are starting to get switched on now with their new system |

I would say you have to keep the cocks on there toes and showing the hen in different ways keeps them keen JMO |
