We heard about an hour ago that our birds were up at 09:20.

No idea why it took so long to get the email.

We've had 6 out of 10 back so far, first two within 2 minutes of each other but the rest quite split up.

The wind changed overnight so ended up to be a fast race. The last two or three to come back looks like they have overflown judging from the direction they came. I think that is what has maybe happened to the remaining four.

Progress report to follow.

We have not had very good returns today either.

7 out of 10 back so far. Last one home just dropped in about half an hour ago - still 3 missing.

Not sure about anyone else yet as our clock reading is not until tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock.

I will let you know how we got on then.

Weird race for us today, we were with the Essex and Kent Amalgamation from weyherby 280 miles.
The birds apparently split into 5 batches ant the liberation site and headed off in different directions,
I had 2 of my weaker birds home first so I had a feeling I'd done badly.
I was 30 minutes behind after being very competitive in the first 3 races, I'm not too disheartened as many had a funny race.

I know this can't be anything to do with your race Boosey - but we have three of our best birds still not home (it is now early Sunday morning).

These three birds have been there or thereabouts in the two previous races so far this year.

As you say 'Weird'!

We got another bird back this morning around 09:00 hours local time, but nothing else since. We still have 2 away.

Our clocks have now been read, and although we don't have an official result yet, it looks like we were 10 minutes behind everybody else - at least.

No idea why.
