The N.E.H.U race from Melton Mowbray 21/4/2012 was won by Peel bros of South Shields, they took 1st club 1st fed, also taking 2nd and 4th club and 15 of the 25 birds clocked in the club......well done Peel brothers.

Still windy and rain and cool. Think this weekend will be cancelled. As Phil said, all in same boat. Will have to make adjustments to natural fliers. Seems some will have passed the condition I needed them in. However, weather is supposed to change next week. So will train whenever possible and send next race. Just push them on.

Sun today! Rain next 4 or 5 days. So let out all the old birds. 5 hours got them back in. Young birds out now.

Some flew some fluttered around. Very seldom have they been out. Did not lose any which strengthens my belief that lots of aviary time is as good as kicking them out too young.
